Federal and State Courts
Law Offices of Jotham S. Stein P.C. attorneys are comfortable in whatever venue is best for their clients. We have litigated cases in multiple federal district and state courts, in federal multi-district litigation and before multiple state agencies.
Most federal trials take place in federal district court. There are federal district courts throughout the country. Some states, such as California, New York and Illinois, have multiple federal district courts. Other, smaller states, have only one federal district court. The Federal Rules of Civil Procedure govern federal court litigation. We have represented clients in federal district courts from sea to shining sea (California to Georgia).
By contrast, state courts have their own procedures and organizational structure, which typically differ from state to state. For example, in California, the trial court is the Superior Court of a particular county (e.g., Superior Court for Santa Clara County), whereas, the trial court in Illinois is the applicable Circuit Court for the State of Illinois.
If you have a case in state or federal court or before a state or federal agency, Law Offices of Jotham S. Stein P.C. may be right for you.
